Solve The Cube ("the app") is built to work entirely on your device. This policy explains, plainly, what that means for your data.
The app never asks you to create an account, sign in, or provide any personal information. We do not collect, receive, or have access to your name, email address, location, contacts, or any other personal data.
Your solve times, move counts, hint usage, streaks, and color theme preferences are stored only in the app's local storage on your own device. This data is never transmitted to us or to any server — it stays on your phone, and is removed automatically if you delete the app.
The "Challenge a Friend" and "Invite Friends" features generate a link containing only game data (a scramble sequence, an optional display name you choose to enter, and a referral code) directly on your device. That link is shared using Apple's standard share sheet — through whatever app you pick, like Messages or Mail. We never see, receive, or store these links or their contents on any server.
Any subscription or one-time purchase you make in the app is handled entirely by Apple through the App Store and StoreKit. We never receive or have access to your payment card details. The app only receives confirmation of whether a purchase is active, which it uses locally to unlock features. Apple's handling of your payment and Apple ID information is governed by Apple's Privacy Policy.
The app contains no advertising and no third-party analytics or tracking software of any kind. Nothing about your usage of the app is sent anywhere for advertising, analytics, or tracking purposes.
The app does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children. Because no accounts exist and no personal data is collected from any user, the app is compliant with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) by design.
Since all data lives only on your device, deleting the app deletes all of it. There is no account or server-side record for us to delete on your behalf, because none exists.
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this same address with a new "Last updated" date.
